On behalf of the St.Louis construction industry, we invite your student to participate in Construction Career Day on Tuesday October 10, 2017 on the campus of Alberici Constructors Located at 2150 Kienlen Avenue St. Louis, MO 63121. The Construction Career fair is hosted by MoDOT, Alberici Constructors and the St.Louis Council of Construction Consumers.
The program is geared toward high school juniors and seniors as they assess the requirements offered by future school and training options. The field trip offers a chance for students to explore the exhibits and talk with people currently working in construction. This year the students can see and experience being on a working living construction companies site which will give the students an opportunity to work with tool and examine equipment.
Through sponsorship from the Federal Highway Administration, the Missouri Department of Transportation, buyers of construction services, contractors and labor unions, there is no cost to the school (other than substitutes which may require for the staff that you have accompany the students).
Please click here for the “Guidelines for Schools, Counselors and Students” to help your students and staff prepare. Construction occurs in all kinds of weather. So this event will occur rain or shine and participants should dress for the weather. However, many activities and exhibits will be under the cover of tents. Please click here for the registration page to assist us with scheduling the field trip for your students.
We invite your school to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to expose your students to some of the great careers which your academics are preparing them for.
